Outreach at Sato

Ian Clavo the outreach officer, presents AIAA to the Students at Sato Academy of Science and Mathematics. The eager students present were intrigued by the events and opportunities AIAA provides. The students gave their full attention and were interested of the rocket program AIAA has which is BLT.
Stem Picnic
September 8, 2018
AIAA joins the other stem organizations in CSULB in a social gathering at Whaley Park. There AIAA meets with members and officers from other organizations; opening up opportunities to integrate and coordinate with other engineering clubs in CSULB. AIAA promoted and recruited STEM majors into AIAA.
Week of Welcome
September 5/6, 2018
AIAA sets up a booth in the upper-campus along with all the other CSULB clubs and organizations. BLT and LBA is present with AIAA in unison. AIAA then decorates its booth with a 10-foot rocket and a 300 pound rocket as well as pictures of past events. AIAA manages to promote the organization and recruits many students into AIAA.
AIAA Outreach to CAMS

Outreach officer Ian Clavo and Secretary Paulo Iglesia presents at California Academy of Math and Science. The talented CAMS students were amazed by the opportunity AIAA provides with Beach Launch Team. The students took great interest in the rocket projects BLT has worked on in the past and the upcoming goals. Mr. Harding, the teacher of the class, was happy to have us present AIAA to his Robotics class.
AIAA First GBM

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics has launched its first general body meeting. Here they introduce the two organizations that are registered within AIAA, the Beach Launch Team and Long Beach Avionics. BLT project manager shows the members the objectives and accomplishments BLT has done and plans to do. Aum the representative of LBA discusses the LBA’s plans to help CSULB students with developing experience with airplane designs. Michal Stoughton discusses Night with Industry and how he aids the members with networking and connections with aerospace industries such as Boeing and Northrop Grumman. AIAA chair Anthony Tan then addresses the members and adjourns the meeting.
